Established in 1987 under the entrepreneurial guidance of Frances Davies, Principal People are the UK’s first dedicated Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, CSR and Sustainability Recruitment Organisation.
Purchased by Simon Bliss in 2010, Principal People embarked on a new and exciting journey leading the business to where it is today. With Simon’s vision and strategy, focusing on building solid lasting relationships with the very best HSEQ talent across the globe, Principal People partner with their clients and candidates to fulfil their goal of making the world a safer and more sustainable place to live and work.

Joining Juhler Group
Continued expansion saw the need to acquire a larger HQ for the business in 2016, allowing for further growth and recruitment of staff, including establishing their dedicated Executive Search Division. This was a record year for turnover and profit and was also the beginning of the sale and partnership of Principal People with the Juhler Group, further strengthening overseas services and connections.
2018 and 2019 continued to be significant years for Principal People. Following continued success within the social housing field, 2018 saw the birth of their sister company Social Housing Recruitment, an organisation dedicated to sourcing the very best talent within the social housing sector. In 2019 with the support of Principal People’s incredible HSEQ Leaders, The Safety4Good programme and charity was established and today, still continues to support this invaluable sector, raising the profile of the professionals who tirelessly serve it. It was in 2019 that Principal People’s 2022 strategy was planned and delivered, ensuring to future proof the sustainable growth of the Principal People Group.
